She was the first Saudi female to be given permission to study law by the Saudi Ministry of Higher Education and has worked as a legal scholar in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon and Kuwait. As the Koch brothers budget to spend $889 million on political campaigns for the 2016 presidential election, we FEATURE Brenda Wright. Brenda is the Vice President of Legal Strategies at Demos, a public policy organization that works for American's equality in speech and economy. Brenda is an expert and has held many legal and policy initiatives on voting rights, campaign finance reform, redistricting, election administration and other democracy and electoral reform issues. She argued the Randall v. Sorrell case dealing with campaign finance before the U.S. Supreme Court. Previously, she served as Managing Attorney at the National Voting Rights Institute in Boston and as Director of Voting Rights Project at the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C.
