Alexis McCombs is an On-Air Sports Contributor with appearances on CNN, NBC News | NBCBLK, HLN Network and Entertainment Tonight's The Insider on CBS. She discusses NFL football, sports, pop-culture, business and female-centric issues.

McCombs also created, executive produced and co-hosted a weekly NFL talk show for Huffington Post where three women interviewed athletes about politics, religion and other hot topics. She serves as a red carpet reporter for many Redskins events, a judge for the Sports Emmys Awards and is a former board member for the Association of Women in Sports Media (AWSM).

After numerous women admitted to being intimidated by NFL football but wanted to speak intelligently about the game, McCombs penned Girls Guide to Go: Football 101 & The Big Bowl Game. She's also been published, covered and quoted by the New York Times, USA Today, ABC.com, Essence.com, Inc. and Black Enterprise magazines. Articles include "The Business of the Super Bowl" & "The Business of the NBA Finals." As an entertainment expert she's also written about celebrity news, events and trends and made guest appearances on Sirius Radio and The Big Debate on MSN.com

McCombs started her sports and entertainment career behind the scenes. She's a former director of marketing for MTV Networks/Nickelodeon where she worked on the Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys properties and the joint production of Rugrats in Paris: The Movie. She also produced a Sundance-winning film called Morning Breath and worked as a casting associate on the Washington-Baltimore production of Enemy of the State, starring Will Smith.

Having a desire to give back, McCombs created Gridiron Girls 4 Africa which used football as a platform to raise awareness and funding for female victims of the Somalia drought crisis. It grew into a partnership with the United Nations Refugee Agency. NFL players Jason Taylor (winner of Dancing with the Stars) and now retired player Dwight Freeney, signed on as ambassadors making appearances on Good Morning America and The Chew on ABC.

McCombs holds a Masters in Business Administration from Howard University, a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison University.
