Alexis McCombs is an on-air sports contributor with appearances on CNN, The Insider on CBS, the Katie Couric show, and ABC7 - New York. She’s also the former creator, executive producer, and host of the talk show “Instant She-Play” on AOL Sports - Huffington Post, where she interviewed NFL athletes about politics, religion, and other hot topics. McCombs has been published, covered, and quoted by the New York Times, USA Today, ABC.com, Essence.com, Cosmo.com, Inc., and Black Enterprise magazines. She’s also author of Girls Guide to Go: Football 101 & the Big Bowl Game. McCombs has served as a judge for the Sports Emmy Awards and is a former board member for the Association of Women in Sports Media (AWSM). McCombs started her sports and entertainment career behind the scenes. She’s a former director of marketing for MTV Networks/Nickelodeon, where she worked on the Rugrats and Wild Thornberrys properties and the joint production of Rugrats in Paris: The Movie. he also produced a Sundance-winning film called Morning Breath and worked as a casting associate on the Washington-Baltimore production of Enemy of the State, starring Will Smith.
