Ashley’s films, indie gems and box office blockbusters have grossed over $2B worldwide. Working with multiple NGO’s, she has traveled to 13 developing countries, visiting brothels, slums, FDP camps, orphanages and hospices, carrying sacred stories of the disempowered both to grassroots change makers and world leaders. A regular expert panelist at conferences such as CGI and a national speaker, she has addressed the Senate FRC, National Press Club, and gave the keynote on modern slavery to the General Assembly of the UN. Author of the New York Times best-seller All That is Bitter and Sweet, Ashley earned an MPA at the Harvard Kennedy School. She won the Dean’s Scholar Award at Harvard Law, for her paper “Gender Violence, Law and Social Justice.” Her feminist op-eds, “The Conversation” and “Forget Your Team: It’s Your Online Gender Violence That Can Kiss My Ass,” went viral.
