Maya Dusenbery
Bio:
Maya Dusenbery is a journalist, editor, and author of Doing Harm: The Truth About How Bad Medicine and Lazy Science Leave Women Dismissed, Misdiagnosed, and Sick (HarperOne 2018). Since 2013, she has been executive director of editorial at the trailblazing site Feministing.com. She was previously a fellow at Mother Jones magazine and a columnist at Pacific Standard. She has written for publications including Cosmopolitan.com, Slate, HuffPost, TheAtlantic.com, Teen Vogue, as well as the anthology The Feminist Utopia Project. Her work ha been featured on Fresh Air, Good Morning America, the New York Times Book Review, and the New Yorker, among many others. Before becoming a full-time journalist, she worked at the National Institute for Reproductive Health.
