Leah Fessler

Journalist, speaker

Bio:

I’m Leah, a journalist and speaker, presently working at Quartz as an Atlantic Media Editorial Fellow. My writing covers the intersections of sex, gender, and technology, as well as management and workplace culture. I also enjoy a perfectly cooked beat, slightly off-hand jokes, and smushed-faced dogs. If you’re interested, read my work here. I spoke at the June 2016 Aspen Ideas Festival on the Sex in America track, and debated campus affirmative consent on PBS Point Taken. I gave the keynote address at the University of San Francisco Global Women’s Rights Forum in March 2017. My reporting and essays have been published in The Atlantic, Washington Post, New York Magazine, The Straits Times, Mashable, Brooklyn Magazine and Quartz. I spent 2016 working in management for Bridgewater Associates, and am a contributing editor to Middlebury Magazine. In May 2015, I graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in English and American literatures and a focus in nonfiction creative writing, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa.
