Bio:

Erica Armstrong Dunbar is a historian, professor, author and the Director in the Program in African American History at the Library Company of Philadelphia. She currently teaches at the University of Delaware, where she is the Blue & Gold Distinguished Professor of Black Studies and History and studies the lives of women of African descent during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, urban history, women's history, and Philadelphia history. Her latest book NEVER CAUGHT: The Washingtons' Relentless Pursuit of Their Runaway Slave, Ona Judge, is a narrative of Ona Judge, a slave who risked it all to escape the nation's capital and reach freedom.
