Laura Bates

Laura Bates is the founder of the Everyday Sexism Project, an ever-increasing collection of women's day-to-day experiences. The project exits to catalogue apparently 'minor' incidents, from the workplace to the street to the home, to demonstrate the scale of the problem and how it might be related to wider gender imbalance. As a freelance writer, Laura has written for Women Under Siege, JUMP! Magazine for girls and the Feministing Community, and aided author Susan Quilliam with the preparation of The New Joy of Sex.
