Bio

I am an Iranian-American writer and organizer with almost 15 years of experience as an organizer around reproductive justice, immigration, police violence, imperialism, and climate issues. I have organized countless on-the-ground mobilizations, including the DC March for Science that brought out over 100,000 people. I have worked in direct abortion care throughout pregnancy, run political campaigns, I am an expert on Middle Eastern feminism and reproductive justice, abortion rights throughout pregnancy, and state violence.I currently serve as Senior Legislative Aide to Montgomery County Councilmember At-Large Will Jawando where I work on education and public safety issues for the local government.

I am completing an MA in Health Law and Policy from Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law and will begin an MA to DBE in Bioethics and Health Policy at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in August 2021.
