RaeAnn E. Anderson, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of North Dakota and Principal Investigator of the Sexual Violence Prevention Laboratory. Her research team focuses on understanding the basic processes involved in sexual violence to develop risk reduction interventions (for those likely to be harmed) and prevention interventions (for those likely to harm others). The team also studies how sexual violence differentially impacts marginalized social groups such as LGBTQ people. She has published 20+ peer-reviewed publications on sexual violence. She is a licensed clinical psychologist with years of experience treating survivors of rape and childhood sexual abuse as well as other forms of trauma and violence. She also teaches undergraduate courses such as Abnormal Psychology and supervises graduate student research.
