Carmille Lim is responsible for developing and overseeing strategy and execution for initiatives, organization communications and branding, and fundraising endeavors to raise funds for the Pacific Council’s annual budget. As VP, Carmille acts as a representative and ambassador to promote positive relationships and strong partnerships for the benefit of the organization.
She is also an independent management consultant and a seasoned nonprofit executive. She has substantial experience in government relations, public policy analysis, media relations, capacity building, and organizational development. Once an election reform expert, Carmille most recently served as executive director of Common Cause Hawaii, where she oversaw the state chapter’s lobbying, fundraising, and community outreach activities around a variety of good governance issues including election reform, campaign finance reform, and government transparency.
She is a Master of Public Policy graduate from the University of Michigan, with a focus on international economics. Raised in Japan, Hawaii, and Washington, Carmille is a Los Angeles transplant and feels very much at home on the Pacific Ocean.
