This week’s experts were chosen to mark the start of Black History Month, the opening of the Sochi Olympics, the death of Philip Seymour Hoffman and the struggles of drug addiction, new statistics showing the lowest numbers of abortions since 1973, and the latest debt ceiling debate.
To celebrate Black History Month, we SPOTLIGHT Emmy Award-winning journalist Janus Adams, an author/historian and talk show host. At 8, in the wake of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education school desegregation decision, she was one of four children selected to end de facto segregation in New York. Adams has authored nine books including the Glory Days trilogy on African American history.
