Dr. Achala Chandani Abeysinghe is a Principal Researcher and Team Leader of Climate Law, Policy and Governance Programme at International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), London. Dr. Abeysinghe also works as the legal advisor to the Chair of the Least Developed Countries Group- a group of 48 countries, in the UN climate change negotiations. Achala is in Paris for COP21. An internationally recognized environmental lawyer, climate change and development policy expert, Farhana Yamin has advised leaders and countries for 20 years. Dr Jessica Blunden is a climate scientist with ERT Inc, working in the Center for Weather and Climate at NOAA’s National Centers for Environmental Information in Asheville, North Carolina. Julienne Stroeve received a PhD in geography from the University of Colorado Boulder, in 1996, for her work in understanding Greenland climate variability. Subsequently she has been a research scientist at the National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC) within the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES). Her Arctic research interests include atmosphere-sea ice interactions, sea ice predictability, climate change and associated impacts. Dr. Vivian E. Thomson is Professor in the Departments of Environmental Sciences and Politics at the University of Virginia.
