Bio

Dr. Vikisha Fripp is a double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Her expertise are in women's health, body contouring, cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery and non-surgical enhancement of the face and eyes. Dr. Fripp’s passion is the care of breast cancer patients and she advocates for women’s right to have reconstruction after mastectomy.

Dr. Fripp spearheaded the efforts at her hospital to provide every woman diagnosed with breast cancer prompt consultation with a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. Her patients refer to her as the friend who always tells you the truth. Though strict with her patients, her compassion is evident in every interaction. She strongly encourages her patients to pair lifestyle modifications with all surgical interventions for optimal results. Her motto is “Success is not without Sacrifice”.

Dr. Fripp has been featured on several news programs in Atlanta and radio in Washington, DC commenting on an array of Plastic Surgery topics. She recently completed the highly coveted Leadership Greater Washington program where she was amongst Washington, DC game changers.

Dr. Fripp is a double Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), Women in Surgery committee of the American College of Surgeons and Association of Women Surgeons.

Dr. Fripp is a natural leader and has been recognized as such everywhere she’s been. Be it Fisk University, Meharry Medical College, Howard University or Cornell University, her star has always shined bright. She has received many awards and recognitions in her short career. She was recently named “Rookie of the Year” at Providence Hospital for the stellar work she has done since joining the staff. Her patients also recognized her with the “Service Excellence Award” for exemplary patient care. While in Atlanta, Dr. Fripp was named one of Atlanta’s “Most Influential Women of 2011” by the Atlanta Business League, ‘Young Physician of the Year’ for 2010 by the Atlanta Medical Association and ‘Physician of the Year’ for 2009 by the Spelman College Health Careers Society.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Fripp’s passion is making education attractive to youth. She states, “With so many distractions, youth have begun questioning the importance of education in achieving their goals.” Through both her sorority and Howard University’s youth programs she lectures on the importance of self-esteem and self-reliance.

At home, Dr. Fripp enjoys running, learning Spanish and outdoor adventures with her husband, toddler daughter and infant twin sons. She is currently preparing for her fourth half-marathon.
