Bio

Robin Rice has been writing plays for the stage since 1990. As of 2018, she is the author of over 70 plays (including 20 full-length). She has been honored, published and produced worldwide from London to Mongolia, South Africa to South Korea. Robin's plays are frequently read and produced in New York City – Off-Off and Off-Broadway.

Robin has been interviewed for NPR, SoundCloud, and indietheatrenow as well as local stations.

She is a founder of Manhattan Oracles, a playwrights’ workshop which has been running continuously since 2001. Robin has mentored many young playwrights and taught writing of 10-minute plays in Mongolia.

Robin is a member of Articulate Theatre, The Dramatists Guild, the League of Professional Theatre Women, the International Centre for Women Playwrights, 29th Street Playwrights Collective, and a board member of Rebel Theatre. She holds a graduate degree in playwriting as well as degrees in political science and fine art.
