Natasha Segal is a private Public Policy and Professional Communications consultant who specializes in Women’s rights, gender equality and LGTBQI rights.

Natasha is a lesbian Jewish woman who was born and raised in Moscow, Russia. After obtaining a Human Services Diploma and a Bachelor's of Arts and Sciences degree in Professional Communications and Aboriginal Studies from the University of Toronto, Natasha earned a Master's of Public Policy at The University of Toronto in Canada and a second Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of Guelph in Canada. Her work and activism experience in Canada includes coaching creative and professional writing to single mothers and homeless women in Toronto, Creating and initiating income support programs for unemployed women in the arts and acting as private consultant for Social Assets Management to create scoping reports and government relations materials around Social Return on Investment Technologies. Natasha has worked as Executive Director for Artheart community arts Centre for Regent Park, Director of Life Rattle Radio and Press, and “Dreamworks” Manager at Urban Arts Centre for gang-involved youth. Natasha has published two creative non-fiction novels and over twenty articles in various national and international papers and on-line publications, has read on national and international radio and has edited over ten books. Natasha has also presented her research on healing and narrative at Narrative Matters conference 2006, 2009 and also presented her research at the International Centre for ethnic studies on women’s rights and Canadian immigration.
