Bio

Mable F. Yee is the CEO & Founder of Engage Her, Inc. She is an entrepreneur, filmmaker and activist. She recently produced a breakthrough documentary, “Engage Her: Getting minority women to lead & vote” which chronicled the reasons why a large portion of the U.S. women did not participate in voting prior to the 2008 elections. It also explores the reasons why multicultural women do not participate in corporate, governmental and media leadership positions. She launched an online organization: www.engageher.org to educate, activate and create an online community of women and multicultural communities to increase their participation. Mable is a member of the Women’s Media Center’s Progressive Women’s Voices and is a spokesperson for the issues surrounding multicultural communities and their growing impact on the social, political and cultural changes affecting our society.

For the past 25 years, she has been active in the high tech industry as CEO & co-founder of three companies in the networking, interactive marketing and Internet industries. She was also responsible for launching major hardware and software products to global markets for Fortune 1000 companies such as Xerox, Network General and Ashton Tate. She is focused and engaged in New Media industries researching ways consumers are adapting new mobile technologies to create and distribute their own media.

Mable has been interviewed on major TV and media outlets over the years including the Today Show, Newsweek, People Magazine, Inc., Internet World. Most recently she has been interviewed on NBC Affiliate, XM Satellite Radio and prominent blogs like Feministing.com, Women’s Media Center and Momsrising.org. She has spoken at national conferences and conducts Leadership & Management training courses for women & executives. She conducted her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley and holds a Bachelor degree in Sociology and Education credential from California State University at San Francisco.
