Laurie Lamberth is Associate Partner at 151 Advisors, where she provides strategic consulting services to companies in the Internet of Things, machine-to-machine (M2M), location-based services (LBS) and vehicle telematics — as well as the “big data” analytics they enable.  Laurie’s practice is informed by more than 20 years’ experience in mobile, including 15 years spent with Nextel Communications and Sprint, launching Nextel’s first market, propelling Nextel’s growth in various marketing and strategic partnership positions, and leading the enterprise business development team for seven years on both sides of the Sprint Nextel merger.

Laurie is a recognized expert in location-based marketing and the Internet of Things, receiving Connected World Magazine’s “Women of M2M” award in February 2013 and AlwaysOn Networks’ “Power Player in Mobile” designation in October 2013.  She regularly publishes, speaks, and is interviewed for print, radio, and TV on topics related to mobile and mobile privacy, location-based services and marketing, the Internet of Things, and next-gen telecom.

Laurie holds an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from California State University, Long Beach, and has extended her education with workshops in strategic negotiation and leadership at the Harvard Business School.
