Kate Gardiner is the CEO and Founder of Grey Horse, a full-service, mission-driven communications agency. The firm’s bespoke offerings are tailored to the unique needs of companies and can include public relations, audience engagement, brand identity development, content creation and thought leadership, digital advertising strategy, crisis communications, and events.

She has advised on network strategies for more than 100 organizations, applying lessons learned at Kellogg's prestigious School of Management where she specialized in media management. She began her career as a journalist before moving into audience engagement, helping Al Jazeera, New York Public Radio, PBS, and Newsweek adapt their editorial and distribution strategies to the digital age--and earning a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Kate has been an important strategic mind in a variety of globally-oriented communications situations, ranging from an early start covering the BP Oil Spill to the global tragedies that shaped the Arab Spring, Hurricane Sandy and the #MeToo movement. A vibrant public speaker, she has earned awards from a wide range of journalism and news organizations, including: the Radio Television and News Directors’ Association, the National Committee on US China Relations, and the Emmys Committee.
