Dr. Julianne Malveaux is a nationally recognized author, economist and the president and CEO of Last Word Productions, Inc. As a writer and syndicated columnist, her work appears regularly in USA Today, Ms. Magazine, Essence Magazine, Black Issues in Higher Education and the Progressive. Her weekly columns appear in numerous newspapers across the country including the Los Angeles Times, the Charlotte Observer, the New Orleans Tribune, the Detroit Free Press and the San Francisco Examiner.
In addition to her columns, Malveaux has also published a number of books. Malveaux received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from Boston College and earned a doctorate in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She serves on the boards of the Economic Policy Institute, the National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy, Women Building for the Future - Future PAC and the Recreation Wish List Committee of Washington, D.C.
Malveaux appears regularly on television and has made numerous appearances on CNN, BET, as well as “Evening Exchange,” the Howard University television program. She has also appeared on PBS's “To The Contrary,” ABC's “Politically Incorrect,” Fox News Channel's “The O'Reilly Factor” and stations such as C-SPAN, MSNBC and CNBC.
