Bio

After experiencing challenges as a first-time breastfeeding working mom, I changed my career mid-stream to marry my international development communications experience with maternal and child health advocacy and education. I bring over 20 years of experience and expertise with a particular niche in breastfeeding, new mom and baby health, family-friendly wellness initiatives.

I bring a unique blend of experience in global health advocacy and communications honed while at the World Bank, engaging in maternal and child health/breastfeeding promotion while in the US Government while at HHS Office on Women’s Health. I spent the last 12 years in global breastfeeding accessory and breast pump CPG market leader, Lansinoh, where I was VP of Healthcare Marketing strategy with experience in new product development and innovation, writing print and digital content, and corporate communications and media relations.

Throughout my career I have been media-facing and while at Lansinoh I served as the face of the brand as media spokeswoman handling all PR/media engagements including print, digital, TV and radio interviews and scripting and appearing in corporate videos. I am at total ease in front of the camera, on radio or on live social media platforms and within print and online platforms with the ability to convey technical topics to any size audience of any variety in an understandable, genuine, and relatable way. My top four media appearances are WJLA Good Morning Washington, CBS Richmond, Fox45 Baltimore, and Washington Business Journal. I have a Masters in Public and Community Health.
