Dr. Charlotte Laws is an expert on revenge porn / cyber harassment, politics and animal rights. She can also speak on issues related to news and current events. She has appeared on Larry King Live, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, The Late Show, Oprah and Nightline. She was a weekly commentator on the NBC show, “The Filter” for four years, discussing politics and news.

Laws is known throughout the world as the “Erin Brockovich of revenge porn.” She launched an investigation of the “most hated man on the Internet,” uncovered an illegal hacking scheme, got the FBI involved (which led to arrests and imprisonment) and helped victims all over the country remove or block their unauthorized photos from the Internet. Laws also worked with legislators to pass anti-revenge porn laws. She is a board member at the Cyber Civil Rights initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to helping victims of cyber harassment.

Laws has authored four books and contributed to four academic anthologies. She has a doctorate in Social Ethics, plus two master’s degrees and two bachelor’s degrees. She completed post-doctoral study at Oxford University, England.

Laws has an interesting past: she has worked as a private investigator, a lecturer for the FBI in Quantico, Virginia and a standup comic. She was in political office for eight years as a Southern California Councilmember and City Commissioner. She has also been an actress, magazine cover girl and is an expert on party crashing. She can recount dozens of interesting and humorous celebrity-related experiences.

Laws was voted one of the 30 fiercest women in the world by Buzzfeed and is the recipient of the Los Angeles Animal Humanitarian Award. She has been praised by the Los Angeles Business Journal, the Los Angeles City Council and the California State Legislature, among others.
