Dr. Rena Eleazar is a co-founder of Match Fit Performance, a concierge sports performance company in New York City. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York University and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). She is the primary physio for the Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club and co-sports performance director for the New York Empire, New York's team in the American Ultimate Disc League. She has clinical experience working with athletes of all levels in a variety of sports, including but not limited to: running, swimming, cycling, triathlon, boxing, capoeira, Brazilian jiu jitsu, Muay Thai, CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, soccer, rugby, ultimate frisbee, dance (ballet, modern, hip hop, breakdancing). Her specialty is returning athletes to sport and sport performance.
In addition to clinical practice, she has given lectures to doctoral programs in physical therapy on topics such as marketing a physical therapy private practice, developing a private practice, and her experience as a woman in the sports performance field.
