A former broadcast journalist and political speechwriter with the Government of Jamaica, Dr Hume Johnson is currently Associate Professor of Public Relations at Roger Williams University, Bristol, Rhode Island, and a branding and communications strategist. She helps political candidates and working professionals build their personal brand and communicate their message with clarity and credibility. She holds a PhD in Political Science from University of Waikato, New Zealand. A recognized political analyst, Hume has appeared on the BBC World Service, NBC Providence, CBC Montreal, Al Jazeera, Jamaica Gleaner, Radio Jamaica and Television Jamaica. She is the author of 3 books: Challenges to Civil Society: Popular Protest and Governance in Jamaica, Brand Jamaica”: Re-imagining Jamaica’s Image and National Identity and Brand YOU: Questions You Need to Ask.
