MAKERS

A 3-hour documentary event, Women Who Make America, plus a digital platform—the largest video archive of women ever assembled

Bio:

MAKERS, a landmark television and digital video initiative from PBS and AOL, aims to be the largest collection of women’s stories ever assembled.

MAKERS brings together the untold stories of well known figures such as Alicia Keys, Hillary Clinton, and Oprah Winfrey, and the trailblazers that need to be known, such as Kathryn Switzer, the first woman to run the Boston Marathon, and Linda Alvarado, the first female founder of a construction company and Major League Baseball co-owner.

The platform has seen great success with over 25 million people visiting MAKERS.com since launch, and the critically acclaimed documentary, MAKERS: Women Who Make America, which premiered on PBS to 2.6 million prime time viewers in February. This historic video initiative was founded by Dyllan McGee.

Executive producers of the PBS film, “MAKERS: Women Who Make America,” are Dyllan McGee, Betsy West and Peter Kunhardt. Web producer is Nancy Armstrong.

MAKERS.com is led by AOL’s Senior Vice President of Women’s Content and Lifestyle Brands, Maureen Sullivan.
