Laura Durnell

Bio:

Laura Durnell's fiction, journalism, and reviews have appeared in Fifth Wednesday Journal, Time, Book, The Antigonish Review, ACM (Another Chicago Magazine), The Times of Northwest Indiana, Room, and the Chicago Review. Honors for her short fiction include the Mary Roberts Rinehart Award from George Mason University and a recent Illinois Arts Council Literary Award nomination.

A graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago's MFA in Writing program and an assistant editor at Narrative, she is currently working on her first novel and short story collection. She teaches part-time at DePaul University, where she also serves on DePaul Women's Network, and Wilbur Wright College.
