Jody Williams

Bio:

Jody Williams is the chair of the Nobel Women’s Initiative, which supports and amplifies the efforts of women working for sustainable peace with justice and equality. Over the past decade, she has written and spoken extensively on the problem of landmines and the movement to ban them. In 1997, she received the Nobel Peace Prize for her work to ban landmines. She is the author of the book My Name Is Jody Williams: A Vermont Girl’s Winding Path to the Nobel Peace Prize Hardcover.
