Jackie Blachman-Forshay
Bio:
Jackie Blachman-Forshay is a graduate student at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University. She is currently the lead researcher for Women’s Media Center’s Women Under Siege project, where her work focuses on developing innovative methodology to crowd-source sexualized violence in the ongoing Syrian conflict. Jackie’s research on sexualized violence in Syria has been featured in publications including The Atlantic and The New York Times, and analyses have been presented to the United Nations, the U.S. State Department, and the U.K. Foreign Office.
