Erika Soto Lamb


Erika Soto Lamb is the National Director of Strategic Communications for Democrats for Education Reform. Between 2012 and December 2017 she was the Chief Communications Officer for Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than three million supporters including moms, mayors, survivors and everyday Americans who are fighting for public safety measures that respect the Second Amendment and protect people from gun violence. At the core of Everytown are Mayors Against Illegal Guns, founded in 2006 by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a grassroots movement of American mothers founded on the day after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Prior to Everytown, Erika was a vice president at Ketchum, where she provided reputation management counsel to foreign governments and other international clients.  Earlier in her career, Erika focused on media relations and message development for political campaigns, public and private sector clients.  Erika has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Stanford University and a master’s degree in Strategic Communications from Columbia University.  She is also the mother of two young sons and resides in New York City.  @erikasotolamb
