Bio:

Audiences across the world have gravitated toward Dani Mari's beautifully haunting voice and simplistic elegant lyrics. Her ethereal vocals "seemingly casting a spell" and transport listeners to an era of nostalgia which exists within the depths of her soul. She has been featured on NPR, BBC, MTV, Vogue, WXPN (including the Gene Shay Folk Show on WXPN) and Brooklyn Vegan and has collaborated with FEAR CLUB from Paris, Sun Glitters from Luxembourg, Roland Marckwort as Violentene from Canada & Omega Vague for a tribute to My Bloody Valentine & Slowdive with A Blog That Celebrates Itself. She co-produces with hip-hop artist Brooklyn Shanti and was formally in the dreampop duo, Lockets. Dani Mari has performed with Sylvan Esso, St. Lucia, Twin Sister, Exitmusic, Widowspeak, Mates of State, Patti Smith, Edward Sharp & the Magnetic Zeros, Of Montreal and more. She also created a series of songs & horror videos inspired by Dario Argento's movies about witches (Suspiria, Inferno & Mother of Tears) with Johnny Butler for Cruel Beauty Productions & premiered them at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival. Dani Mari performs solo and with Will Hanza as the dark-folk duo Owl and Wolf. She also collaborated with Reverend TJ McGlinchey in the folk-pop duo Lovers League and released an EP with award winning producer Bill Moriarty (Lotus, Dr. Dog). Dani Mari is the founder of Female Frequency, a music collective dedicated to empowering women & girls in the music industry. She created an album made entirely by women with co-founders I Am Snow Angel & Claire London, Madame Gandhi, Ryat and many other female producers & engineers. Dani Mari is also in the process of producing her own album through Ableton.
