Remembering Chris Jahnke

A nationally recognized speech coach and author, Chris Jahnke is passionate about helping progressive women leaders drive change. At the Women’s Media Center, Chris is the media trainer for the acclaimed Progressive Women’s Voices program preparing advocates to effectively speak out on social and economic justice issues.

President and founder of Positive Communications, Chris has advised women leaders at Amnesty International, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Black Lives Matter, Emily's List, Humane Society of the United States, Planned Parenthood, and Union of Concerned Scientists.

A speech coach to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns and former First Lady Michelle Obama, Chris has worked with nearly all current and former Democratic women governors. Politico, NPR, US NEWS, WASHINGTONIAN, Elle, and Vice News have featured her debate coaching. Chris has been a backstage speech coach at five Democratic National Conventions.

Chris is the author of The Well-Spoken Woman: Your Guide to Looking and Sounding Your Best (Prometheus Books, 2011) and The Well-Spoken Woman Speaks Out (2018).
