Celeste Watkins-Hayes, PhD, is a professor, writer, and award-winning researcher. As a professor of sociology and African American studies, Dr. Watkins-Hayes conducts research on public policies that target low-income families and the economic consequences of HIV/AIDS for Chicago women of different racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
