Jewelle Bickford, Partner and Wealth Adviser at Evercore Wealth Management, LLC, advises wealthy families about their investments, focusing on family governance, impact investing, and the expansion of Evercore's Wise Women events series.

Until joining Evercore in August 2013, Jewelle Bickford was Senior Strategist at GenSpring Family Offices, and chaired the Women & Wealth Initiative of the firm. Previous to that, she was a Rothschild Group Partner concentrating on cross-border new business origination for North America and the U.K., and head of the Debt Capital Markets for Rothschild Inc., the broker dealer of Rothschild North America. She also was a member of NM Rothschild’s Global Banking and Treasury Committees. Mrs. Bickford merged her investment banking firm, Bickford & Partners Inc., into Rothschild Inc., in 1994. As president of her firm, she was responsible for managing its origination and private placement activities including the placement of over $40 billion of asset backed securities. Prior to forming her own firm, Mrs. Bickford held senior positions with Dillon, Read & Co. Inc., Citibank, and New York City Mayor Ed Koch’s administration. She attended the Fortune’s Most Powerful women’s conference from  2002 to 2007.

Mrs. Bickford attended Randolph Macon Women’s College and received her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College in 1977.  From 2003 to 2010 she served on the Board of Directors of the SEC-registered Torrey Funds.  She presently serves on the Boards of Directors of Women for Women International and the Women’s Media Center. She is a board member and the past President of the Trisha Brown Dance Company and is a Trustee Emeritus of Randolph Macon Women’s College and serves on the Business Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Founder of the Council’s Task Force on the role of women in economic and political development in the Middle East and South East Asia. She is also a member of The Committee of 200, the Women’s Forum and the Advisory Council of Afghan Women Leaders CONNECT, a Special Program of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors.
