The Atlantic Takes a Deeper Look at Photo of Cannibalism Survivor Featured by Women Under Siege

Women's Media Center's Women Under Siege project, which shines a spotlight on sexualized violence in global conflict, recently featured a blog post about “Congo/Women,” a photography exhibit co-produced by Art Works Projects and the Ellen Stone Belic Institute for the Study of Women and Gender in the Arts and Media at Columbia College in Chicago. Today, The Atlantic's Max Fisher featured a blog post that digs deeper into the story behind the striking photograph by Marcus Bleasdale, of a mother and children who survived a cannibalistic attack, that Women Under Siege chose to run with its story.
