OWNERSHIP SOCIETY: sounds good, but what it means is lower taxes on savings and investments. What wo

Summary: "If you own something, you have a vital stake in the future of our country. The more ownership there is in America, the more vitality there is in America, and the more people have a vital stake in the future of this country" (President George W. Bush, June 17, 2004). This sounds good (except for the overuse of "vital"), but what it means is the reduction or elimination of taxes on savings and investments. This helps those with money, and it helps the richest the mostest. What would help the average worker is a reduction of taxes on wages.
