See Robin Morgan's response to the cynical misuse of her words by Carly Fiorina in her argument that women should vote for McCain in the Denver Post:
John McCain is the Disastrous choice for women: Response to Carly Fiorina Op Ed on Denverpost.com By Robin Morgan I am outraged at Carly Fiorina’s misuse of my words to insinuate that I—or any other woman in her right mind—should support John McCain‘s bid for the presidency.  Such tactics border on libel, harming my reputation by implying that I would support what in fact I intensely oppose: a candidate, ticket, and party notoriously hostile to women’s equality--from the Equal Rights Amendment through reproductive freedom to pay equity, and much, much more. The Republican Party’s cynical, manipulative attempt to co-opt Hillary Rodham Clinton supporters will not work. Women—especially those still mourning the HRC candidacy—are smart. Women know that the issues are always what truly matters—which means wholehearted support for the Obama-Biden ticket. Our lives depend on it, literally. The sudden, overnight, so-called “feminist” lip service by McCain, his token-woman advisor Fiorina, and now his running-mate, the anti-choice, first-term Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, are outright lies—a miscalculation of and  an insult to the intelligence of women. Carly Fiorina infamously declared, ''The glass ceiling doesn't exist.”  Those words still fit her better than any  she could ever poach of  mine. =
