Jane Fonda inspires WMC supporters
November 25, 2009
On Monday, the Women’s Media Center celebrated the final event of our three-city Jane Fonda Media Salon series in New York City! At the home of our gracious host Caroline Hirsch, guests dined with WMC co-founders Jane Fonda and Gloria Steinem. There was lively discussion on a variety of important issues central to the WMC’s mission, from the Stupak amendment and reproductive rights to the meaning of feminism for a new generation. After dinner, guests enjoyed a moving and intimate reading by Jane Fonda from her book My Life So Far. It was also a wonderful occasion for guests to meet our new president, Jehmu Greene, and learn about the important work the WMC is doing to change the conversation.
This was a wonderful event bringing together friends and supporters of the WMC and we hope you will join us! Make a donation to the WMC today so we can diversify the voices in the media!
