July 20, 2010

The Women’s Media Center is committed to amplifying women’s voices and changing the conversation in the media. To achieve our mission, we provide and are constantly looking out for programs that train women to be the next media industry makers and changers. We are proud to support  Springboard Enterprises, a company dedicated to creating successful women-led businesses -- and they are now accepting applications for their  All Things Media: 2010 forum. All Things Media: 2010 is a program that aims to source, qualify, coach and showcase women-led emerging growth companies from the media sector that are seeking equity capital for product development and expansion. Combining virtual and face-to-face events from August through October, the forum will provide coaching on presentation skills and assist with refining investor presentations. Also a great networking opportunity, the program will facilitate connections between the companies, Springboard alumnae entrepreneurs, active investors, strategic partners, service providers, our international network of trusted business advisers and the press. The forum will culminate in an event on October 20 during which selected participants will be able to present their companies to area investors and strategic partners. Women in key management positions holding a significant equity stake from sectors including but not limited to television, radio, print, digital media, mobile, video games, search, social networking, e-commerce, online advertising, outdoor, animation, and software are encouraged to apply. For more details on the program and application, click here. The deadline is July 31. Since January 2000, Springboard Enterprises has assisted over 400 women-led companies in raising $5 billion equity financing. 85% of Springboard Enterprises companies are still in business and have since created over 10,000 job positions.
