Peggy Simpson

Laura DeLuca teaches courses on anthropology, African studies, and international development at the University of Colorado-Boulder, where she works closely with the Smith Hall International Program. From 2000-2001, she conducted field research in Ngorongoro, Tanzania, on conservation conflicts and ecotourism. Since 2003 she has been working with Sudanese refugees in Colorado. In 2005, she was invited to participate in the Sudan Field School held in Rumbek (South Sudan).

DeLuca has written articles about conservation issues in Tanzania, Sudanese refugees in the United States, the crisis in Darfur, and the Kenyan education system.
