Lauren Barbato

Lauren Barbato is a freelance writer of all styles based in Los Angeles. She currently blogs about women's rights at Ms. magazine, where she has been deemed the "Minister of Ridiculous Laws." Lauren has written about arts and entertainment for numerous print and online publications, including Yahoo! Movies, FILTER, MovieMaker Magazine, Under the Radar and Campus Circle. Her writing will be featured in the forthcoming feminist book project It's Complicated: Feminists Write About the Misogynist Art We Love. She holds a BFA degree in writing for screen and television from the University of Southern California, where she also served as lifestyle editor at the award-winning Daily Trojan.
