The Women's Media Center and HBO hosted a special screening for influential bloggers of the HBO Documentary Film, Gloria: In Her Own Words, on August 11, 2011, followed by a Q&A with Gloria Steinem.
An intimate biographical portrait of Gloria Steinem, a hallmark of the feminist movement in America, Gloria: In Her Own Words profiles a crusader whose primary focus has been the fight for women’s equal rights in the U.S. and around the world. Combining recent and archival interviews that showcase her compassion and sharp sense of humor, the film debuted August 15, 2011, exclusively on HBO.

In conjunction with the release of Gloria: In Her Own Words, Gloria Steinem and the Women's Media Center launched our "In your own words" video contest to challenge young activists to submit a video telling us what they wanted the future of feminism to look like and what they were going to do to make it happen.
